My heart goes out to all Haitians in their time of trauma...

God Bless you Haiti
written by Meagan Mohammed , January 16, 2010

My heart breaks for the people of Haiti right now. I have friends in Haiti who were in Trinidad at the time of the earthquake. I saw an expression on their faces that I had NEVER seen before, it hit them hard. Haiti has been through so much already, and they are still standing. Tested and tested again, but they live on. I am also humbled by the overwhelming response that Haiti is getting right now in terms of prayers, financial aid and actual relief teams with supplies & first aid. Even though this great tragedy happened, a lot of good can and will come out of this. The global co-operation & unison displayed is amazing...all the help that Haiti is going to get will really help! It will help rebuild Haiti in a way that will be even better (and exactly what was needed) than before. I love you Haiti, you are in our thoughts and prayers...God bless you.

This is His way

Some are saying that Haiti is the receiver of so much devastation because of what goes on in the country and this that and the other. Okay...but why not see it from another perspective. So long have they been ignored that now something so catastrophic has happened so that we can remember them and this do what Megan said which is help to rebuild Haiti in a way that will be even better! God bless you Haiti Shaken but not broken :)

The world becomes one...

Even though this is one of the most tragic incidents in the world, it's good to see that for once the world seems to be rushing to Haiti's aid. However, shouldn't we always be this helpful with or without the occurrence of such a tragedy?

revival
written by Nadimah , January 16, 2010

Moments and times like this define generations; they revive the humanity within us that lies dormant in the mechanics of daily life. We hear your cries Haiti. While we were once deaf and blind to your suffering, we hear you now. You are not forgotten, you are not alone.

Its really heartbreaking to see what has happened to Haiti...After i saw some of the pics on http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34...ginSlide=1 my jaw dropped open my eyes widened and the paws on my hand rose. I NEVER saw anything like that before. May God be with Haiti despite all that has be going on their country and what people are saying, let God be the Judge not us.

MY prayers go out to all the innoscent lives that have been lost due to this natural disaster we need to come together an have a collective unity with our caribbean brothers and send to them the necessary aid they need to control this situation before the people of hati start to panic and retalliate because due to lac of basic needs. We as a nation instead of being selfish about their predicament need to put asside your personal differences and HELP!!!!!!

too little too late

I applaud all those involved in the Haiti relief programmes but it's no secret that Haitians have been suffering for years in destitution. jus imagine if they had this type of support prior to the earthquake...what a big difference it would have made. "Haiti, i'm sorry...next time we'll turn our eyes..."

People are really pissing me off. I am hearing comments like"i livin in Haiti, Well ah doh care." What if Trinidad was in danger. Would they want other countries to think like that. Caring for yourself is great and all but other people matter too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
