Mairoon Ali, talented actress and History teacher at Holy Name Convent, POS died today. The Student Press extends condolences to her family, all the students and staff of HNC and also to the members of the local theatre fraternity.

I remember listening to Miss Mairoon almost every evening on the radio on our evening communte home. What stuck with me the most is how she corrected ppls grammar when they called in...lol...i wished i had her as a teacher.
She will be missed!

She was a wonderful being! She loved life so much and lived her life to the fullest! She was a highly motivated woman and was made of great worth> She was a great mother and wife. Not to mention the best history teacher I have ever seen. Her passion for life is an example to all. You may be gone Mrs. Ali, but you will never be forgotten. Thank You for the memories! Our HNC family will miss you more than you know! May you rest in peace!
