The fact is students attend Secondary school to sit CXC therefore this should start the time students attend secondary then at Grade 10 or 4th form they are allowed to choose. I SEE DAT THE SAY" Changes are coming to your Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) syllabus in the coming year "HOPE IT DOESN'T affect students who are writing exams in 2010. the cxc syllabus is already long n tedious!!!!!!!!!!!!.............most students / teachers are able to finish the syllabuses but with many obstacles along the wayyyyyy!!!!!!!!! time is one major factor !!!!!!!!! students don't like when they know dat there syllabus becomes longer n more difficult!!!!!!!! but time=change and what we have to do is adopt these changes!!!!!!!! BUT these changes in the syllabus must not only be fro cxc but should bee moved way down to form 1 so that most of the work can be covered over the five year period!!!! technology is becoming more and more advanced!!!!!!! so as more and more complicated!!!! the job market is also becoming more and more challenging!!!!!!!! and the only wayyyy to get into that vacuum is 2 associate ourselves with it!!!! over the next few years i am sure that degrees will in turn be like ah cxc result and masters will now become the major certification in getting ah job!!!!!! it will be hard for individuals with degrees to get a job!!!!!! my point is as much as we don't like our syllabus to be long n tedious n complicated!!!!!!! we have to move up in the advancement of the world! but we don't only have to do it in form 4 n 5.........the ministry of education should instill it throughout the 5 years from form 1 to 5 so that more work can be covered and there will be more time for students to understand the work! - vash Fri, 07 Aug 2009 06:30:06 +0100
