The Student Press (TSP) is a monthly newsmagazine for teens published by Caribbean Communications Network Limited (CCN), parent company of the Trinidad Express and TV6. Every month, 20,000 FREE copies are distributed to 131 secondary schools across Trinidad & Tobago.

Written in an authentic teen voice, The Student Press is the first student newspaper of its kind in Trinidad and Tobago, which provides a forum — print and online — for the issues and ideas important to youth.

With much of its content generated by a dyamic teen staff from schools around the country, it is designed to diversify newspaper readership while moulding potential journalists and future citizens.

TSP does not pretend to be a daily newspaper. Or any publication for that matter. It tries to be entertaining, informative, current, relevant, thought-provoking and edgy all at once.

We reason that if students are motivated, through this medium, to discuss ideas, they might extend that interest to events around the country and by extension the world. An increased awareness of the world will make students more educated news consumers and a more empowered group.
